Dr. Judy, Mr. Nerovich, Ms. Lat, Ms. Dones, Mr. Macias and Ms. Lewensky represented Ariel at the 2014 Polar Plunge to raise funds for our students to participate in the Special Olympics!

2014 Black History Assembly

Ariel’s Black History Assembly was held on February 26th, 2014. Students from K to 5th all performed in the event with their class. Students performed dances, played characters, and narrated biographies to celebrate the life of several prominent and historical and current African Americans. ┬áSome students in the 8th grade also performed a great debate in which historical figures debated about social norms.

Science Night

A Night With John W. Rogers Jr.

Mr. John W. Rogers will be featured on Chicago WTTW 11 on Sunday March 27th, 20011. He will be interviewed by U.S. Secretary of Education and COO of McDonalds Corporation. Be sure to watch the program and learn more about the founder of Ariel Community Academy.

Family Fitness Night

The Mens Club presents Family Fitness Night! We encourage all students and family members to join us in this family night full of fun and fitness! The Fitness Night is on March 25th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

All students MUST be accompanied by adults in order to be allowed into the building!

To encourage Ariel students to read and write in their free time, Mrs. Shelhamer has created a wonderful website that serves as a starting point for students. The Library Wiki has many fun activities and resources for students as well as teachers. Be sure to check it out and use it whenever you have any free time!

2009 Middle School Science Fair

Ariel Community Academy held their annual middle school science fair on Friday, November 20. Students demonstrated their understandings of the experimental design via their very own creative experiments. A total of 128 middle school students presented their projects to community members, parents, and judges from top companies as well as various universities. The winners for the science fair are as follows:
