The Mollison School website is currently being updated to better serve parents, teachers and students. Soon, parents will be able to access pages for specific teachers to access homework assignments and contact teachers. Below you will find a list of the changes made. Check back for more updates!
The Faculty and Staff list Local School Council membership has been updated to match the 2010-11 roster (as of December 2010).
Several teacher blogs have been created to make it easier for parents and students to keep up to date and in touch with teachers. Those teachers are currently being trained on how to use the blog.
Last year, Ms. Jones took an excerpt from Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and wrote each word (over 600!) on an index card. Students and staff members each took at least one card and decorated it in their own way. The cards were then displayed in a mosaic format at the school’s front entrance. CUIP helped take a digital photo of each card and make a video that synced the photos with the audio of the original speech, so that each word was on the screen as it was being said. The video was used at the our Black History Month assembly last year. Check it out!
Mollisonians can take pride in the excellent representation of our school at the Junior Achievement Board Meeting held on Thursday January 8, 2009, at the Union League Club in downtown Chicago.
Our school was represented by the eloquent and talented Master Gabori of the third grade, who spoke on the impact of his involvement in the Junior Achievement Program and introduced former Mollison Principal, Ms. Barbara Eason-Watkins, the Chief Educational Officer of the Chicago Public Schools.
