Dear Parents,
Hello! My name is Ms. Merony and I will be the second grade teacher in Room 107. I am very excited to start off the year and to get to know you and your child. I have been preparing for this experience all summer and cannot wait to get started.
I graduated in 2008 from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. This past school year I finished a year–long student teaching program through Michigan State at Shoesmith.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Chicago when I was ten. I love living in Chicago and taking in all the amazing sites and scenery that the city has to offer. I love to watch movies and enjoy hanging out with close friends. I recently bought a Puggle puppy, named Emmy, who takes up most of my time.
Your student and I are going to be embarking on an exciting journey through second grade together. This year is going to be filled with many wonderful and exciting learning experiences. We will set sail on literary adventures through literature, historical journeys through social studies, problem solve our way through math, and explore science.
